lyrics

Don’t Wanna Be Here

Verse:
Anytime I get confused, I get down on my knees,
When I don’t know what to do, I beg my Father please…
Help me from day to day ‘cause this crooked path ain’t straight, no…
My world’s a labyrinth, gettin’ bigger everyday. And I

Chorus:
Don’t. Wanna be here anymore.
I can see, life will shut its doors.
And the sound, sound is very clear.
And the signs that read, “Get outta here”.
Can’t stop. Ask for anymore.
Being trapped. The only thing in store.
Can’t wait. The sound is very clear.
And the signs that read, “Get outta here”.

Verse:
Anytime somethin’ shined,
I’d get down on my knees.
Picked up what I thought were gems,
And then I’d start to dream.
With all the weight I had,
I drag my feet through life, now…
I’m running out of time,
And the clocks are deafening. And I

Chorus:
Don’t. Wanna be here anymore.
I can see, life will shut its doors.
And the sound, sound is very clear.
And the signs that read, “Get outta here.”
Can’t stop. Ask for anymore.
Being trapped. The only thing in store.
Can’t wait. The sound is very clear.
And the signs that read, “Get outta here.”
“Get outta here.”

Straight From The Heart

(Oooo)

Verse:
What is this thing we call love?
That falls into our lives.
What is this thing we cannot see?
We feel so deep - at times you cry.
What is this thing that breaks the heart?
The soul is filled with fear.
What is this thing that lifts you up?
And drives away the bitter tears.

Some of us are afraid of love.
More of us are scared to lose.
If we do, we close down every door…
And never know what’s in store.

Chorus:
All of us crave a deeper love.
All of us wanna deeper touch.
All of us wanna a hand to hold…
Through the storms that blow through our lives.
All of us wanna friend to be close to us
For eternity.
But I want to begin with me.
I bring my love to you -
Straight from the heart.

Verse:
All of us wanna know we’re loved.
To know that we belong.
All of us wanna know it’s true…
No more guessing if we’re right or wrong.
All of us wanna know it’s real.
To cast our fears aside.
All of us have the dream to leave -
The world of loneliness behind.
Some of us are afraid of love,
More of us are scared to lose.

From my heart. From my heart. My heart.

Chorus

You Are Not Alone

(You can make it, make it, you can make it)

Verse:
You are not alone,
Even if you think that no one ever really cares
about you.
You are not alone,
Even if you think you’re - only being used.
You are not alone,
Everybody’s been acquainted with grief at times.
You are not alone.
You’re not the only one who feels the way you do.

Chorus:
You’re not alone.
Someone’s standing in the place that would have been your shadow.
You’re not alone.
Can’t you see that this is Someone who really cares?
You’re never alone.
Can’t you see that this is Someone who will never leave you?
Alone.

Verse:
When you think that lettin’ go - just ain’t a bad solution.
You are not alone.
When you feel your only hope is… but a lie.
Never alone.
Though you think
You’ve reached the end of what was there
To save you.
You are not alone.
Even when you reach the point of screaming,
“I said, it’s enough!”

Chorus:
You’re not alone.
Someone’s standing in the place that would have been your shadow.
You’re not alone.
Can’t you see that this is Someone who really cares?
You’re never alone.
Can’t you see that this is Someone who will never leave you?
Alone.
You’re not alone.
You’re not alone.

Via Dolorosa

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
A Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating,
there were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns on His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out for His death

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King,
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made its way through the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

Wait On The Lord

(Ooooo)

Verse:
So many people,
Give their opinions.
How can I know what is best,
For the rest,
Of my life?
Runnin’ in circles…
I end where I’ve started. Yeah.
Ain’t gettin’ no where.

Chorus:
Wait on the Lord.
He is willing and able.
Wait on the Lord.
He’ll work it out. Give Him time. (Ooo).
Wait on the Lord.
He is willing to help you.
Wait on the Lord.
He’ll work it out. Give Him time.
But we follow the heart.
And become disillusioned.
We follow the heart.
And we get so confused.
Follow the heart.
And we find so much pain. (No, no)
Don’t follow the heart…
So we can stop runnin’ wild.

Verse:
So much pretending.
So much deceiving.
Why can’t our words be?
Truthful. In meaning.
Thinkin’ I know it…
I make my rash choices. Yeah. Oh.
Left disappointed. I’ll

Chorus:
Wait on the Lord.
He is willing and able.
Wait on the Lord.
He’ll work it out. Give Him time.
Wait on the Lord.
He is willing to help you.
Wait on the Lord.
He’ll work it out. Give Him time.
But we follow the heart.
And become disillusioned.
We follow the heart.
And we get so confused.
We follow the heart.
And we find so much pain. (No, no)
Don’t follow the heart…
So we can stop runnin’ wild.
Oh. Oh… ooooo.

Walking Away

Verse:
Walkin’ away. Oh.
Walkin’ away. I’m walkin’ away from my problems.
I’m moving away. Oh.
Movin’ away.
I’m movin’ away from my problems… I’m gonna give ‘em up.
Give ‘em up to the Lord.
(Repeat)

Oh! I’ve been losing sleep…
I’ve been in too deep…
I’m lookin’ for a way…
Take
All of my broken life…
And my broken dreams…
All I want is change.
Don’t care.
What you’ve gotta do…
What’ you’ve gotta say…
I just want something real.

Walkin’ away. Oh.
Walkin’ away. I’m walkin’ away from my problems.
I’m movin’ away. Oh.
Movin’ away.
I’m movin’ away from my problems… I’m gonna give ‘em up.
Give ‘em up to the Lord.
Let go. Gonna break free. Gonna move on. Gonna let it fly away.
Move on. Gonna be strong. Gonna be myself. Gonna give myself the right to -
Clear my mind.
So I can change my life.
I’m gonna be on time…
For anything. I’m gonna learn.
Let go. Gonna break free. Gonna move on.
Just watch me.
I’m gonna do somethin’ about this.
I’m gonna give it up.
Give it up - to the Lord.
Give it up.
Give it up to the Lord.

Peace Now

Verse:
When I wake up in the morning,
I try to start the day.
With an attitude that’s hopeful,
And then I’m on my way.
But as the day progresses -
I seems to lose my way.
When the busy tongue of others - strike again.

Chorus:
I want peace now.
I want peace now.
I want your peace.
I want peace now.

Verse:
Everyday there is a problem.
Everyday there’s something new.
And I always seek solutions,
Nothin’ else that I can do.
And at times I find some problems,
Are impossible to solve.
And the one’s that seem so simple -
Aren’t at all.

Chorus:
I want peace now.
I want peace now.
I want your peace.
I want peace now.

(Ah)
And at times I find some problems,
Are impossible to solve.
And the ones that seem so simple -
Aren’t at all.

Chorus

Maybe

Verse:
Maybe.
Maybe if the phone rings -
It could be awful good. Yeah
Maybe.
Maybe if it doesn’t ring -
It might be even better. Oh.
So Maybe.

Chorus:
If what I do isn’t good, Say so.
If it’s good - you have got to let me know.
‘Cause all I want in my life clarity.
What I get - is sheer uncertainty.
If I want it, I don’t get it.
What I get is what I never want.
And if it isn’t, Then it is.
If it is then. It never is.

Verse:
Maybe.
Maybe if I let go -
Things will fall in place.
Maybe.
If I work hard -
Things will sort themselves out.
Maybe.

Chorus

Anchor Holds

I have journeyed
Through the long, dark night
Out on the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were watching me

Chorus:
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I face the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I’ve had visions
I’ve had dreams
I’ve even held them in my hand
But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

Chorus:
I have been young
But I am older now
And there has been beauty
These eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that’s where God proved
His love to me

Chorus

Precious Lord

Precious Lord, take my hand.
Lead me on, help me stand.
I am tired. I am weak. I am worn.
Through the storm. Through the night.
Lead me on, to your light.
Take my hand, precious Lord.
Lead me home.

When my way grows drear, precious Lord linger near.
When my life is almost gone.
Hear my cry, hear my call.
Hold my hand, lest I fall.
Take my hand, precious Lord.
Lead me home.
